This is a digital re-release of a limited edition handmade album from 2009. 5 tracks from the Album are featured here. After listening to these tracks with a few years of distance, I decided that these were the best to highlight the Vintage Rhodes Suitcase piano that I recorded on and the collaborative nature of this recording. I loved that piano with a passion (and can't believe I sold it) anyways, the tone always reminded me of christmas for some reason, so I guess that the reason to do an album of carols came out of that. I can't keep my fingers from noodling around whenever I touch a Rhodes though... and so what started as a standard album became a collection of midnight improvisation sessions with Mr. Magic Kristof. After listening to the tracks I really just fell in love all over again with the Rhodes electric piano and these beautiful souls I got to record with. The original album was a collaborative project with several fabulous artists and if you have one of the 75 copies from 2009 you know what I'm talking about, anyway here are is my selection of 5 tracks from then. I hope that you will enjoy these for the sound, texture and perhaps the time worn memories that the melodies may bring to you. Much Love, Ben
P.S. Robert took the photo for the album cover, I love how he captured the feeling of this album.
P.P.S. I hear that Mad Hat Tea Company may have a couple of the full albums left for sale at their store in Tacoma filed under Local Artists...
P.P.P.S The Talented Justin Crocket designed the awesome CD Art and when I can figure out how to upload it I will!
